Switzermaier is a Vancouver based band that combines the familiar sounds of indie rock and pop with elements of jazz, hip-hop, and electronica. Born from the impromptu collaboration of Gibson Switzer and Max Maier in the summer of 2019, Switzermaier would later add vocalist Abby Johnston as well as lyricists Oliver New and Eddy Spencer to create their debut release 'The Perfect Crime.'

From the cinematic opening chords and bombastic chorus of 'Supervillainous' to the clean duets and mirrored verses of 'The Getaway,' Switzermaier seeks to bend genres to their whim while always sounding distinctly themselves. While always focused on pop melody first and foremost, Switzermaier's often progressive song structures  are ready to take sharp turn at any moment. From short skits in 'Backfire' and 'Epilogue' to the dynamic and experimental structures explored in 'Greatest Of All Time' and 'Killaman' the boundaries of what defines a Switzermaier track is ever changing yet still somehow familiar.
